The mothers of this generation are up against a new type of challenge – compared to the traditional stay-at-home moms; they need to find a way to balance their responsibilities in the workplace as well as the demands at home.

Here are a couple of pointers to make tidying up the house fast and easy:

Clean constantly. Do not let your chores pile up. No matter how many dishes you have in stock, clean up the used serving dishes as soon as you’ve finished using them. This requires very little of your time and effort. Always keep everything in order, in the same way that you do not let dirty dishes pile up, do not let clutter accumulate.

Work with quality. Only buy the best cleaning products. The most effective cleaning aids make cleaning faster, easier and disinfected to boot.

Delegate. Train your kids to do household chores. Emphasize the importance of keeping their rooms clean regularly. Teach them the value of cleaning up after themselves so that they would not lose things or invite pests into your home. Despite the busy schedules for you and your office and for them and their school, its great to spend time together even just for cleaning up and doing light chores. Make it a fun experience.

Lastly, move briskly! You may have gotten used to taking your sweet time while cleaning in the past but you have to learn to move smartly and efficiently in a shorter span of time.
